Laurel Ridge is a community north of Black Mountain, NC. Nestled in the mountains, Laurel Ridge was designed to complement its natural surroundings. The community offers breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, plenty of native plants and wildlife, and privacy for homeowners seeking peace and quiet.
Featuring 190 lots, with some for sale and others with homes that are either finished or under construction. Surrounded by over 17,000 acres of protected land, including parts of the Asheville Watershed and the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, the area provides a scenic, preserved environment.
Laurel Ridge has a gated entrance, paved roads, underground utilities, and its own water system supplied by the Asheville Watershed. The community is located in the North Fork Valley, outside Black Mountain city limits, so it is not subject to Black Mountain taxes.
Despite the community's elevation, roads throughout Laurel Ridge are less winding and challenging than those in many mountain neighborhoods. The Black Mountain Fire Department has a substation within the community, along with a meeting space called above it. Skyrunner provides internet service in Laurel Ridge via fiber-optic cable.
